Energy Risk’s Software Rankings is a survey where users vote on their preferred energy risk solutions based on their real-world experiences.

Lacima made it an even dozen, ranking #1 in the Energy Risk Software Rankings for the twelfth year in a row.  2024 saw Lacima take out the top spot in four categories and secure top five placings in a further 26 categories:

• Market Risk Analytics;

• Most innovative project developer

Energy Risk’s Software Rankings is a survey in which the users of commodities software are asked to select their preferred vendors and applications, data providers, data management firms and implementation specialists. This format makes the rankings all the more special, as the results reflect the perceptions and experiences of practitioners using these programs in practice across the ETRM industry.

Lacima is honoured to celebrate multiple #1 rankings in the 2023 Energy Risk Software Rankings, taking the #1 winning streak to 11 years in a row, and overall ranked in 23 categories.

Lacima ranked number 1 in ‘Enterprise risk software’, ‘Best enterprise risk management software system’, Analytics’ and ‘Market risk reporting and management package’.

Lacima, won the Innovation of the year award at the Energy Risk Awards 2022 for the tools it developed that address two significant analytical problems in LNG: firstly, how to value and understand the individual components of structured trades that have flexibility terms and embedded optionality; and secondly, how to optimise shipping schedules for a portfolio of LNG deals.

The prestigious Energy Risk awards, now in their third decade, recognise excellence in financial risk management across the commodities sector. The awards are open to energy and commodities producers, traders and consumers, and all firms in between that facilitate risk management.

Lacima named in the overall top ten of energy risk technology companies with two category wins for Complex Contracts Risk Management and Market Risk: Cross-Market.

The Energy50 rankings cover a broad range of vendors in the energy risk and trading arena. These include: energy risk and trading solutions, standalone energy risk providers, data and data management providers, execution and trading platforms, and solutions for clearing and back-office, regulatory reporting and management, operational risk and accounting.   Chartis ranks these vendors based on functionality, core technology, market presence/impact, innovation and strategy.

Celebrating ten years with #1 rankings in this annual survey of industry participants.  This year Lacima achieved eight #1 rankings and overall ranked in the top five for 28 categories.

In the Energy Risk Software Rankings for 2021 Lacima achieved nine #1 rankings and overall ranked in the top five for 29 categories. It is the ninth straight year that Lacima has been voted #1 in these annual rankings.  Still the global leader for energy and commodities analytics.
